this is depressing. i'm, just damn depressed.
our squad is seemingly shrinking and almost half of it thinks that SJ is a complete waste of time, or so it seems.
our uniforms are coming soon, and POP is coming damn soon.why? this just sucks.
i will never forget this year's std4 instructors for our squad(not forgetting those whowent SMC1).you all made a difference in my SJ life and i will never forget that.
some of you , instructors and squadmates alike, have counselled me and given me great advice. thank you. i won't forget you or your advice.
why do you all have to pass out so soon?
it seems like it was only yesterday. when we had our first pt and someone in the squad was hiding in a corner, refusing to budge until after loads of persuasion. when staff elizabeth was talking to us, telling us that her SMC's goal was unlike that of the first batch of instructors, but instead to train us to be a squad of JNCO standard. when we had POP last year and our new SC marched in, scaring us out of our minds with her stern looking face.when i was sitting at the computer and crying like some idiot as i had a long talk with an instructor. when the squad was pissed at me and i was so worried they would hate me forever like my class seemed to that i cried for a whole night. when i had comp train with the team 2 people, with the instructors, and even with that one instuctor who left. when we had our first aid comp during std 1 camp and i almost cried after reading the notes from our instructors.when the standard ones first came in and some instructor left us. when a prank was played on us. when we had our first squad pt,when only half the squad came.when we got promoted without our uniforms.when we first thought of a prank to plan. when we had our first squad outing. when i said what i shouldnt have. when we had an unofficial footdrill session in the morning at the grandstand with heavy rain pouring down.when i got loads of interesting advice from both squadmates and instructors alike.
it seems like it was only yesterday.
damn. why is it all going by so fast? we're already standard 2s. i don't know where the whole 1 year went. it's so fast. we've just met our first batch of juniors. why is it that the stuff like lessons take so long, yet trainings go by so fast? why is it that the squad never seems to meet up to do stuff even though there's so little time left?why?
it's all so fast.
this year's POP will be the second one we see. 2 our of 4.2 more to our own. time's fleeting by. we'd better hurry.

TODAY WAS STD2 08'S 1ST EVER SQD OUTING!!!YAY(:haha i'm feeling high. sqd outing was fun!
at first we spent quite some time discussing what and where to eat. so paiseh.
we had pizza for dinner, and 22 ppl came in total
hmm...we had to walk a LONG distance to get to the spot,and xinyi,christine and i went to but drinks,plate and cups and therefore got lost.><
anyway, we finally found them, and when we started serving pizza, sir tien ling insisted we eat first, and in the end i managed to get him to
take the food. then he started saying we should do food cheer! (actually that wasnt a bad idea)
anyway, we just played games after eating.
for murderer, mdm pearl ning chose the murderer and detectives. unfortunately she chose haihua as murderer and she took so long lah. then i was the only std2 she killed!boohooXD
then we had the guess number game with a forgeit. the 3 losers(we played 3 rounds) had to kepp doing one of 3 actions until we did the same one (no discussion allowed of course) then i lost the second time because i followed christine's tip. nevermind.then i saboed mdm zhi ying, who was the one who wanted to play that game. i chose the number 50, because i knew people would choose that first!XD haha lol
oh,yes. during the whole thing we spilled drinks twice. once was when sgt kok swee rolled a drink up the slope and knocked over a cup. it was like this: we were sitting on a slope and we rolled drinks to them (they were sitting lower down) and when they tried to roll it back they knocked over a cup. second time a drink was spilled was when chritine's bag leaned over and knocked into mine. so there were two cups drinks knocked over and 2 trails of drinks. on the slope.
oh yes. sgt kok swee is...he actually pointed the camera straight at his own face and took a flash photo of himself. and after that he kept saying: i see the light!
hmm...there was the present giving, and we asked the seniors to close their eyes, but
some people kept looking around.
anyway, later on we kept taking group photos. haiz. it was actually really funny, but i cant think of how to describe it.
oh well. on the way to the mrt we bumped into the std4s who had originally gone off later than us or something. and staff elizabeth kept asking us about our secret.XD staff, if you're reading this, just wait.(: we won't tell you anything!
on the train sgt kok swee and kai ming were talking about birds on the power lines getting electrocuted and stuff.><"
i shall elaborate another time i guess. i cant tink of much to say about squad outing for now. (: but it was...interesting.
oh yes! we set a new record! we are the first squad to give seniors presents at a squad outing!XD yay.

grawh. i missed alot of posts due the invention otherwise known as holiday homework. it's the called the holidays for a reason, people.
last saturday(AGM)today was fun!
for pt we had to play hide and seek.
when we found sg ttzu hsiang we were cheering here we go again. so it was like:
'wond'ring down this avenue, wond'ring what the hell- *we find her* what the hell?!'
then when we were doing sit ups yongsheng was counting in jap. damn funny lah; both us and the instructors were laughing nonstop.
OMG i'm damn pissed. the sstd1s are so damn luck they get their uniforms just 3months after we do! 3 months! apparently they decided to change the system so they get their in yr one. why didnt they change it last year? damn it lah. whats more, we got ours LATE.
the std1s dont hacve temporary houses either. NOT FAIR why did the system change in their year?!
anyway, they had this sorting ceremony for their houses. what with the hat and stuff (harry potter fans: sounds familiar?)
the house games were pretty fun. but i liked our house icebreakers. trust sgt jason to come up with something lame. we had this game where we had to go AAAH and if we didnt we had to run one round around the parade square shouting AAAH. sgt yi an was the first one. so all the hera ppl(minus the std3s who were in charge of games) ran around behind sgt jason and yi an while it went something like this:
sgt jason: what must you say?
sgt yi an: AAAH!
sgt jason: what should you say?
sgt yi an: AAAH!
...and on and on.
same thing happened to marcus. then ran and cheered a whole house:
sgt jason: HERA
us: AAAH!
we were all quite high i guess. the hera aaah thing was the cheer for that day
mondaymaths enrichment course.we were all quite sian during icebreakers, but there was one interesting one where we had to invent this wierd dance, and there was something about turning your butt clockwise and anticlockwise.><"aiyoh so wuliao... oh yeah and there was this one where we had to fit pictures on transparency together to get an elephant.(i shall upload photos another time)
origami by mrs koh was...interesting. sat with crystabelle clar and mook.
haha i was showing yuanmin(i think) and co how to do multiplex and mrs koh was trying to rmb what i taught her, but she remembered wrong. it was quite funny><
tuesdaymaths enrichment again.
attended something about paradoxes(more boring than i expected) and then we set off for maths trail. my group had:
xinyi(the S/L. aka mummy)

shao wei (the ultra cute p6 who's damn smart,)
junjie
yuan min(who's also in sj!)
we spent alot of time on lunch and some stupid question about paths through bricks or something.
shao wei solved one ultra complicated question and another one about food combinations (i forgot the formula). his solution for the food one was something like: 16C3+17cube.
we all said that it wasnt cube.turns out cube was correct. so diu lian lah.
we actually knew the answer to one of the stations but got lost and couldnt find the station.lol. then when we knew it then the teachers told us to gather when we could actually go and tell the station master.bah humbug.
it was quite fun lah. xinyi kept pulling shao wei along and tied his shoelaces once or something so the guys started calling her mummy.><" later on at debrief that yuan min kept taking photos and xinyi and i were continually ducking.(later on xinyi managed to get his camera and delete some photos.haha so there)
todayi managed to finish most of the holiday homework. and it's been raining the whole day!!!!YAY(yes, i actually enjoy rain)

cherisse and i bumped into clar, my junior sabrina (haha i rmb your name><) and some yr1 guy who was spposed to join sj (according to daniel he wasted lots of smses persuading him to join sj,and he got into air rifle in the end). we talked crap the whole time. gi wen (yes i finally spelled it right) called him and he asked me to answer, so i told her sorry,the idiot who owns this phone refuses to answer)lol.
i saw mdm pearl ning and one other mdm (forgot her name, but she's really high ranking. she waved to me! XD).wonder what they're doing in dunman.
i hope zinc helped me hand in my zuowen. or else i shall lose marks.
the reason the zuowen was with her in the first place was because of xinyi(i think. not our sqd one)it was like this:
i was heading for lunch with cherisse,zinc and possibly weixin. i'm not too sure. anyway, i saw yiren, and he stopped to ask me if i was free, because xinyi sprained her ankle and he was asking me f i knew how to bandage or not so we walked/limped to the sick bay, when i dscovered she hadn't put ice yet. so i went to the crowded drink stall and bugged the busy drink stall uncle for ice (sry hor uncleXD) then i went back to the general office.
then i found out that there was only one roller bandage in the FA kit there, and it was like, more than 10 cm wide. i also realised the bed was pretty much messed up.apparently the person doing sickbay duty hadn't come yet. so while xinyi iced her ankle and yiren tried to find a smaller roller bandage that was even close to the proper size to bandage an ankle with, i (attempted to) tidy up the bed. meanwhile some of her friends came in to say hi.XD really, i'm not kidding.
then yiren came back. turns out there was only this huge roller bandage, so we asked her to put her leg on the chair (whoops we forgot), then spent some time figuring out what the heck to do. in the end we just cut off a length of bandage with the scissors (which yiren
couldnt find even though it was where it usually was: in the FA kit.lol.) and folding it into half(i think if we tried to cut it lengthwise as well it would be a nightmare, and it might have unravelled)
i bandaged the ankle(after a seemingly long time) while yiren wrote it down in the logbook(and kept telling her that she owed him a favour), and we managed to somehow stuff her foot back into her shoe, and left the GO. (while yiren asked me how it felt saving someone's life.lol!)
yay, i'm feeling high now. she's like my first real casualty? (other than myself,when i sprained my own ankle on the first day of school this year. -_-) haha thanks xinyi!>< (whoops is daniel's sadism rubbing off on me? oh no.lol
haha. tomorrow we're having pe! YAY i can run with cheryl!(one of the 3 std1s in the train with us after the cny lunch) but it still doesnt make up for sqd pt. oh well. at least we'll have it sometime!(:
